Happy 4th of July to you and your family! Today, I will attempt to make the above flag cake. (Get the recipe here.) How cute -- and challenging -- is that?!
CC is on board to help, although she requested a chocolate cake for America's birthday. Well, maybe next year for that one.
And because you can never have enough flag cakes, I picked up these adorable little petit fours at my fave bakery, The Andersens in Santa Barbara yesterday. (We took a day trip up there, but more on that later.)Whatever kinds of treats you make today, have a safe and wonderful 4th of July!
